St. Clairsville’s School-Age program provides an engaging environment where children can spend time with friends while developing a sense of who they are and what they can do through play and activities. We offer Before/After School Care, Drop-In Care, School Closure Care, Holiday Care, and Full-Time Summer Camp.
School-age children will be supervised at all times. As children demonstrate the ability to do so safely, they may be permitted to complete brief errands within the center, such as going to the restroom, while remaining within hearing distance of team members. Team members will always know where school-age children are and will continue to actively monitor them to ensure their safety.
Program features include:
Before/after school care with bus drop-off from local school systems.
Comfortable environments to help your child build confidence, self-esteem, character, and social skills.
Creative and logical activities to stimulate your child’s creative side.
Bible lessons where your child will learn about the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Before/After School Care
Daily Schedule for Before/After Care
6:00–7:45 AM: Free play
7:50 AM: Children get on the school bus
3:45–4:15 PM: Children arrive from the school bus, wash hands, and have a snack
4:00–4:30 PM: Homework
4:30–5:00 PM: Group play
5:00–5:30 PM: Outside/inside gross motor play (weather permitting)
5:30–6:00 PM: Independent play / dismissal
School Bus Transportation
If you wish to use our Before/After Care, you will need to contact your local bus garage to arrange drop-off/pick-up at our center. Please be sure to turn in your schedule to your Center Administrator.
If your child is usually transported from another school or program to our center by school bus or one of our center vehicles, please be sure to notify us of your child’s absence before the scheduled transportation time.
If your child becomes ill at the center before catching the bus, and you or your authorized pickup cannot pick them up before their school bus picks them up to transport them to school, you must pick your child up at the school. We cannot care for children after the last school bus departs our facility.
