Your Child’s First Days
Getting comfortable with a new environment isn’t always easy, and it’s different for everyone! Your center team are experts and will work with you to make your child’s first day the best it can be. Don’t hesitate to share any concerns you have before that first drop-off.
If possible, spend a little extra time with your child while they transition into the classroom. This helps both you and your child ease into the routine.
You’re always welcome to call any time during the day to see how your child is adjusting.
The Childcare App
Our primary form of communication is the Childcare App. If you need to talk to your child’s teacher, the app offers a messaging platform to keep open lines of communication. The app is a great way to keep in touch with your center, get updates, and see photos of your child’s day while you’re at work, at home, or on the go.

Pictures of those special moments that happen in the classroom.
Daily updates on what we learned about and how your child is doing.
A messaging feature that helps you easily get in touch with your center.
Quarterly Newsletter
Every quarter (January, April, July, and October) we email a digital Quarterly Newsletter that explains upcoming events, activities, and happenings in the center. Please make sure your email address is accurate and check often for these updates.
Door Postings
We post important reminders on the door or on the information board as you walk in. Please take a moment to review these periodically so you can stay up to date with current events.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Being a part of your child’s education is very important to us at Heritage Early Learning Center. We schedule annual Open Houses where you can sit down with your child’s teacher and have a one-on-one conversation about their progress if you prefer. Parent-teacher conferences in our centers are for all age groups.
Classroom Transitions
When the time comes to transition from one room to the next, we look at your child’s developmental and maturation levels, potty training, and space availability in other classrooms. We’ve designed our process to get your entire family involved during a transition. This helps your child adjust to the new space, teachers, and classmates.
We know how difficult it can be to leave your child in someone else’s care, and we’re here to help make that transition as smooth as possible.
