Extended and Overnight Care

Extended and overnight care is offered at our Barnesville Campus. The following additional rules and policies apply.

What to Bring

For the convenience of the children, the center will supply sheets, blankets, washcloths, hand towels, and towels as needed. Parents are responsible for providing a few personal items to help maintain their child’s nighttime routine. Please pack the following items in a gallon-size ziplock bag, clearly labeled with your child’s first and last name:

  • Toothbrush with a travel cover

  • Toothpaste

  • Hairbrush or comb

  • Clean and comfortable sleeping clothes

  • Pillow and comfort blanket

Overnight Supervision and Safety

Our dedicated Extended Care Staff Members will remain awake and vigilant throughout the night to attend to any needs your child may have. Both indoor and outdoor areas of the center will be adequately illuminated to ensure safety and security.

Drop-Off and Pickup During Extended Hours

Drop-offs and pickups during these hours will be managed by our Extended Hours Coordinator. Parents are required to ring the doorbell upon arrival and wait for the coordinator to facilitate entry. Please note that between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM, parents will not be permitted beyond the lobby area.

Wake-Up Times

For our youngest attendees, infants will not be woken at a predetermined time unless a parent has specified a wake-up time in the night care plan. Children in the Younger Toddler through School-Age groups will be woken at 5:45 AM to prepare for the transition to traditional-hour care, which begins at 6:00 AM.

This structured approach ensures that all children receive care tailored to their individual needs while maintaining a safe, controlled environment for everyone involved.

Enrollment, Scheduling, and Payment

  • Children who are not enrolled in Extended Care may not stay at the center beyond traditional hours of 6:00 AM–6:00 PM. Late fees apply to Traditional Care students who are not picked up on time and remain at the center during any extended care hours.

  • Children may not be enrolled in care for more than 12 consecutive hours at a time. There must be a minimum of 8 hours between the time a child is picked up and when they can be dropped off again. In certain situations, such as parents working a 12-hour shift, allowances for travel time may be made on a case-by-case basis, provided there is evidence of a work schedule requiring 12-hour shifts.

  • Parents are required to submit their schedules two weeks before the start of care.

  • Payments for care must be made by Monday morning of the week in which the child will be attending.

These policies help us provide consistent and reliable care for all children enrolled in our center.
