Child Assessments
Our children are assessed for developmental learning standards through our Creative Curriculum to ensure they are on pace. If our team members have developmental concerns about your child, they will report them to the Center Administrator, who will schedule a meeting with the parent/guardian to ensure we are providing the child with the best resources for their needs.
Formal Screenings and Assessments
Our center conducts developmental screenings and assessments to help monitor each child’s growth and development. We use tools such as the Sparkler App and Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) to gather information about children’s developmental progress. If a team member or assessment identifies a developmental concern, we will communicate with the child’s parent or guardian and work together to determine appropriate next steps and resources.
Parents are encouraged to participate in the Sparkler App, which provides families with resources and activities to support their child’s development. Additional community resources may also be shared with families when appropriate, including Help Me Grow, The Village Network, and COAD.
Family Involvement
As your child’s most important influence, you are a full partner in our program. Open and frequent communication between you, your child’s teacher, and your Center Administrator will strengthen this partnership and help your child have a positive early-learning experience. Posted snack menus and plans describing the planned activities for the classroom.
We hope you have time to talk with us when you drop off or pick up your child. We also invite you to schedule an individual conference whenever necessary. Please schedule longer discussions with teachers in advance so another staff member can be available for classroom supervision.
